Lake Toxaway resides in the southwestern part of North Carolina and just east of Sapphire. The 614- acre mountain lake was the first artificial lake built in the Appalachians in 1902 by E.H. Each October the Lake Toxaway Country Club’s main clubhouse features an annual art show. Lake Toxaway Community Center features local musicians, dinner, and entertainment every Friday from 7 pm to 10 pm. In nearby areas you can find the Brevard Music Center, Scenic 276 Arts Corridor is a 13-mile stretch of road from Brevard to the NC/SC state line is filled with art galleries, studios, shops, and local shops and produce.
